Histoire
This rescue and salvage ship (safeguard class) was built in 1985 by Peterson Boat Works in Sturgeon Bay, WI.
Notes historiques
This vessel was commissioned on 14 December 1985 as USS Grasp (ARS-51). On 19 January 2006 USS Grasp was decommissioned and transferred to the Military Sealift Command for non-commissioned service as USNS Grasp (T-ARS-51).
