Munson was rare among builders because he let you "Design" your own boat. His catalogues gave you a price for each basic layout, a price for the different lengths and beams, prices for the propulsion, deckhouse, electronics packages etc. By doing this, customers didn't keep coming back to him for redesigns before signing a contract: They got the idea what their pocketbook could buy, then he could pull it together with suggestions for other details and a final cost.
