Historical Notes

On March 28, 1875 while traveling in ballast from San Francisco to Knappton OR this vessel was stranded on the Columbia River Bar. The wind dropped while this vessel was crossing. The crew were rescued the next morning. Don Marshall says the date was March 10, 1875 (listed as either a bark or a schooner) on either Clatsop Spit or in the Columbia River.
