Story

This passenger vessel was built in 1984 by Nichols Brothers Boat Builders Inc. in Freeland, WA.

Historical Notes

George Schneider stated "Harbor Excursion and dinner boat. Call sign WSQ7555. Built as the CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO for Hornblower's affiliate Yacht Partners Ltd.

In 1991 she was replaced in San Francisco, moved to Southern California, and renamed LORD HORNBLOWER.

In 2014 she was renamed ADMIRAL HORNBLOWER out of deference to those who were concerned about the religious implications of her name. Her antique appearance is loosely based upon the earlier San Francisco steam passenger boat GENERAL FRANK M COXE of 1922."
