Malcolm Harker states "Converted 1906 British fire boat. Designed by F.T. Harker, who also built the original steam engines. Inactive service as the Fire King on the River Wear in the north east of England for over 50 years. Rescued from dereliction in the early 1980s and in 1998 rescued, subsequently shipped to Seattle and “re-imagined” by F.T. Harker’s great grandson, Malcolm Harker."
