Edgar Kaiser Jr. is a scion of the California family.
He served in Vietnam with US AID.
He later served as a Whitehouse Fellow under President Lyndon Johnson. Later he was Chief Executive Officer of Kaiser Resources Ltd.
He sold Ashland Oil to Dome Petroleum and the coal operations to BC Resources Investment Corp.
He became a Canadian citizen in 1980.
He was Chairman of the Bank of British Columbia in 1984-1986.
