This freighter was built in 1922 by Bethlehem Ship Building Corp. in Alameda, CA.
Historische Notizen
On July 15, 1942 this vessel, while in convoy KS-520, was attacked and damaged by U-576. This vessel was towed to Hatteras Inlet and beached. A US Navy salvage crew boarded her and towed to Norfolk VA USA where this vessel sank in the harbor approaches.
In 1954 the wreck was sold for salvage.
