On March 16, 1894 this vessel sailed from Victoria BC in ballast for Oregon. This vessel encountered a gale off Cape Flattery. Her ballast shifted and this vessel went on her beam end drowning three crew members. The remaining crew departed in a ship's boat and were picked up by the ship John C. Porter. Weeks later the wreckage was found by the Maude and towed into Clayoquot Sound. There this vessel was righted, abd the tug Pioneer towed her to Victoria where this vessel was repaired and sold.
