歴史的注記

Mark Tasaka (Westcoast Fisherman Facebook Group) stated "Ocean Derby, Golden Grace and Elaine Y II were all sister ships built in the early to mid 80's I believe.

They were owned by 3 Japanese fisherman who lived in Steveston and trolled out of Ucluelet. The boats were built as combination troller gill netters and if I remember correctly all gill netted at some point. Ocean Derby was originally owned by Mr. Yoshi Hamanishi, powered by a Detroit 8-92 series diesel, and sold after he retired. I went to the launch party and spent many hours in the cabin of that boat as Yosh was one of my father's best friends. Mr. Hamanishi passed away several years ago. The Ocean Derby is still fishing up north in Area F and is moored in French Creek and I have met the current owner. The Golden Grace was originally owned by Mr. Ohara who resides in Steveston not far from where he kept the boat during the off season. Mr. Ohara is a master Japanese carpenter. If memory serves me correctly, Mr. Ohara did all the finishing carpentry of all three boats. Mr. Yamamoto owned the Elaine Y II."
