On October 17, 2014 this vesse lost power and drifted in high seas and high winds toward the Queen Charlotte Islands. This vessel was taken in tow after three attempts by the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Gordon Reid. This vessel was taken on tow by tug Barbara Foss on Oct 19, at 0200 UTC Oct 20 vessel was some 30 nm off Prince Rupert in safe waters, heading for Prince Rupert. This vessel was carrying a range of hydrocarbons, mining materials and other related chemicals. That included 400 tons of bunker oil and 50 tons of diesel. The vessel is not a tanker but rather a cargo ship.
