On November 24, 1941 this vessel was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy. On December 20, 1949 this vessel was Destroyed by fire. Fraser McKee states that "Commissioned into RCN: 24 November 1941. Sold November 1945, H.E. Griffin "and another", Toronto. KATHERINE G.? (Lloyd’s 1949-1950) #178095 Resold. Owner (1948 Canada Department of Transport): Reginald S. McDonald, Souris, PE Registered Charlottown, PE Engine: 2 Hall-Scott Motor Co., (petrol), Berkley, CA Burned, December 20, 1949."
