She was sstruck off Naval Register October 29, 1946 and transferred to the War Shipping Administration and sold February 18, 1948. John Campbell states (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 15/06/2016) that "one of two YMS that were used as breakwater hulks for a time at Mahood's log pond at Wolfson (Lang) Creek, south of Powell River. It was towed up there by Henry Pavid sometime in the sixties.

He told me that a boatbuilder at Squirrel Cove wanted it for a breakwater up there. This vessel is disintegrating on the beach at Squirrel Cove (Cortes Island BC). YMS-331 was damaged 15 April 1945: W of Naha. (Okinawa) by an Explosive Motor Boat at 26-15N, 127-36E. - a sort of Kamakazi attack." Dirk Septer (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 16/08/2019) stated that " According to another source, this Squirrel Cove resident wanted to use the vessel as some sort of tour boat but that a storm pushed the vessel too high onto the beach that it could not be taken off again.
