(by 1955 ex–Edmar) #173183 Owner: G.D. Raymond, Yarmouth, NS Registered Yarmouth Ran aground at Metegan, NS (Possibly salvaged?)" Stanley Small (Email October 30, 2018) states that "It was purchased around 1957 by my father, Fletcher Small and Victor Parker and towed to Grand Manan Island, N.B., where it was grounded on the eastern side of Stanley’s Beach and was salvaged. The water & fuel tanks being stainless steel provided the material to construct tanks for the 65’ fish draggers of the time. A lot of the metals were sold as junk. The hull being fastened with copper screws provided myself a source for spending money. After 60 years the only evidence of it being there is the keel that appears periodically after storms. My father painted a picture of the 'Nellie D' before his death in July,1959. "
