In 1979 she was owned by Canadian interests.
In 2012-2024 she was owned by Ronald & Diana Mumford, Gabriola BC Canada.
She was named for the Wyvern - a legendary winged reptilian creature with a dragon's head, the hindquarters of a snake or lizard with two legs or none, and a barbed tail.
