Historische Notizen

Her sponsor was Mrs. R.Baker, wife of Commodore Baker, head of the RCN construction staff in Ottawa ON. This vessel had a naval complement of 21. Initially sent to Halifax, it was transferred to Esquimalt in April 1957. An extensive refitting was accomplished in 1994, just before the US owner purchased her in 1995, and this vessel had been tied up ever since. Victory Ships intended to use this gift for their missionary journeys to the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Mac MacKay states " It was sold in 2009 and went to the US. I saw another sale ad for it in 2011, also in the US, but have not been able to track its movements since then."
