Notas históricas
In 1959 this vessel was damaged by fire. The November 1960 issue of Western Fisheries magazine called the vessel "the world's fastest fishboat". This vessel hit speeds of 45 knots during trials. Milt Roberts fished the Fraser River and Rivers Inlet during the season and did log salvage in Georgia Strait in the winter (LS-10). On May 13, 1964 the exhaust manifold split open and the vessel caught fire. The owner fought the fire but hailed the nearby BC ferry Queen of Tsawwassen who rescued him. After a few minutes he transferred to a nearby fishboat which put a line on the Deadot and began to tow her to the beach. The towline snapped and the boat immediately sank.
