Story

This tug was built in 2001 by Jinling Shipyard Changjiang National Shipping Group Ltd. in Nanjing.

Historical Notes

Dirk Septer stated "unfinished hull of Island Scout was delivered to Canada secured in a steel cradle welded to the deck of oil barge ITB Provider, now sporting a green funnel. Built at the same Chinese shipyard; company tug Island Tugger towed this barge across the Pacific Ocean (via Dutch Harbour, AK) as this proved to be more economical than the lowest quote."
