Story

This schooner (actually ketch rigged) was built in 1940c by Ernst, Gunter in Gothborg.

Historical Notes

This vessel was rigged as a gaff-rigged topsail schooner (actually ketch rigged). This vessel operated as a trawler out of Cuxhaven Germany 1956-1977.

In 1977 this vessel was brought to Port Alberni BC operating as a fish packer, towing and diver tender. Dirk Septer (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 11/02/2019) reports that "this vessel was on the rocks at Gorge Harbour, awaiting a spill response team." Ed Lien (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 07/07/2019 reported that this vessel was moored to a buoy and was apparently spared the wrecker's torch (at least for now.) Later in 2019 this vessel was reported to have been broken up.
