歴史的注記
In 1939 this vessel sailed from Shanghai China to North America arriving at Ocean Falls BC with a crew of 5.
They completed an ocean journey of 100 days including pirate attacks, typhoons and near starvation until given food by a passing ship.
They reported that they were driven onto a reef where they "looked around and thought we were in a wilderness with no hope of rescue. For three days we worked on a raft and had it practically completed when, on the 22d, we saw a lish- packer come into sight. We lighted a huge bonfire on the beach which attracted the fisherman and he picked us up. Berger Larson, a crewman, suffered a broken leg jumping from the boat as it drifted onto the reef." They arrived in Ocean Falls on October 24th. Norm Mackenzie (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 31/10/2016) reports that "It sat at the mouth of the Martin River for years."
