Story

This fishboat, general was built in 1876 in Gothenburg.

Historical Notes

Christopher James Cole states (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group) that "This vessel came to BC because of the Klondike gold rush in 1898 and was in legal limbo for awhile. After a couple of years lying idle this vessel was chartered by Vancouver Coast line Steamship Co.

In 1903 New England Fish Co. (scroll work on bow seems to be their thing) converted her to a halibut boat and this vessel was renamed Columbia, a year later this vessel wrecked on northern Vancouver Island." On January 8, 1905 this vessel was wrecked.
