Historical Notes

On March 6, 1970 this vessel was destroyed by fire at Bellingham Harbour WA USA. On June 21, 1970 this vessel foundered at the north anchorage at Lana Island BC Canada. David Pratt, the grandson of Captain Milton Stebbins, states " I believe he owned the boat in 1972 when this vessel sank off of Triangle Island in a storm (I guess her registry was never closed). The deckhand escaped, but my great grandfather Milton Stebbins went down with the Clara M." (Thanks to Mr. Pratt for the image of the vessel.)
