This sloop, naval was built in 1876 by H.M. Dockyard (Sheerness).
Notas históricas
In 1879 this vessel visited Sitka Alaska at the request of European residents who perceived threats from local fist nations people. Newspaper reports about the presence of a British warship results in the stationing of a US Navy warship at Sitka.
