This tug was built in 1992 by Sylte Shipyard Ltd. in Maple Ridge, BC.
Historical Notes
Lonnie Edward Berrow reports (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 10/05/2015) that "The finished hull sat at Syltes boat yard for years as the El Toro, Mercury bought the hull and finished the boat launching her into the river many years after the hull was started."

In 1994-1999 she was owned by Fraser Tugboats Ltd., New Westminster BC Canada.
In 2001-2022 she was owned by Mercury Launch & Tug Ltd., West Vancouver BC Canada.
