This icebreaker, light (ice strengthened medium navaids tender) was built in 1962 by Canadian Vickers Ltd. in Montreal, QC.
In 2004 this vessel was based at Prescott ON.
In 1962-2007 she was owned by the Minister of Transport, Ottawa ON for the Canadian Coast Guard.
