Story

Historical Notes

Nick Newell stated "this vessel was a a plywood Brandlmayr 41 built by Carl & Lynn Turnau. This vessel did two offshore trips one to the South Pacific and one to South Africa that I'm aware of. I lost touch with Carl and Lynn years ago but I understand they are back in B.C. now. " Lynn Turnau's obituary stated "In 1975, they set sail on their boat Chuklyn, for what would become an unforgettable 15-year adventure that took them to the South Pacific, Australia, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America − a life path that few had taken at that point in time."
