歴史的注記
Laurie MacBride (Eamil to Nauticapedia 24/12/2020) stated that "Bob Grant had bought one of the last available 2-ton A licenses on the coast, which was limited to vessels of no more than 21 feet - thus we went looking for a boat to put the license on, something that he could deploy immediately (as salmon season had already started) and use for day trolling out of French Creek. We found this boat - a 21' Starcraft which was in working order, so bought it and put the license on it. (It had been a pleasure boat up to then.) The commercial fishing license was removed in 1982, to transfer to our new vessel, Madrona Point."

名前の由来
Laurie Macbride states "The boat was unnamed when we bought it. We needed to come up with a name quickly in order to register the fishing licence, and searching for "illumination" (i.e. an idea), came up with "Alumination" since the boat was made of aluminum. "
