This frigate, river-class was built in 1943 by Davie Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Lauzon PQ.
She was acquired by the Royal Canadian Navy in service in 1943.
She was commissioned as a River-class Frigate 1944-45.
She was commissioned as a Prestonian-class Frigate 1953-56.
She was transferred to the Royal Norwegian Navy.
