Oregon (II)

⚓

Historia

This schooner, three-masted (auxiliary) was built in 1905 by Kronenburg, J.L. in Prosper, OR.

Notas históricas

HMCS Rainbow intercepted this US-registered vessel on April 23, 1914 near La Paz Mexico. A boarding party, after a search, arrested her and this vessel was sent with a prize crew to Esquimalt. It was reasoned that this vessel was actually a German ship whose neutral register was a disguise for activities which were in the interest of the enemy. This vessel had to be towed for a majority of the voyage home.
