Notes historiques

John Wallis (Paddlewheel Riverboats 1965 Facebook Group 09/01/2022) stated "I was pretty young. I remember that Bud Sefton bought it at provincial auction when the government got rid of the Lord Selkirk when they dissolved Venture Manitoba Tours.

He played around with it on the river in 1978. I used to steer for him the odd time when he went out with Wynford Goodman, Jonas Doll, and a few others. Various business ideas came and went, and then over one winter he moved it to BC by rail for whale watching. I lost track after that. I remember Bud pulling in to Redwood when we were putting shutters on the Princess. When we were done, we went for a boat ride. Only reason I got invited was that I was underage. The rest sat around drinking while I ran the boat. Good times. Just a week later I was at Hecla helping get tge Lord Selkirk ready to bring back to Selkirk."
