歴史的注記
This vessel was transported to the Arctic by C.T. Pedersen on the Patterson.
In 1971 destroyed in a storm and blown to sea after which the mast was given to Sven Johansson for use on the North Star of Herschel Island. Jim Wolkie owned her when Sven Johansson arrived in the Arctic in 1962 and this vessel was pulled up on the sandspit at Tuktoyaktuk. This vessel sat next to a boat this vessel was owned by Eddie Grueben. Then this vessel was leased for use in oil exploration so this vessel was still in good shape. This vessel had an original Fairbanks-Morse diesel engine.
In 1970 or 71 this vessel was bought by a person working for an expeditor outfit supplying dynamite to oil exploration companies around Tuktoyaktuk.
He painted her up nicely on the beach.
In 1971 a big storm hit the Western Arctic. The Omingmuk and Eddie Grueben's boat were both washed off the sandspit. Grueben's boat was quickly smashed to pieces. The Omingmuk drifted sideways to the north end of Tuk Island and there this vessel broke up.
