Historical Notes
On September 26, 1956 this vessel ran aground on a reef off Ie Shima, Ryuku Islands Japan during a typhoon. This vessel was declared a Constructive Total Loss and sold.

In 1943 she was owned by the Government of Canada and managed by Counties Ship Management Ltd., London UK.
In 1950 she was owned by Bedford Overseas Freighters Ltd., and I.H. Mathers & Son, Halifax NS Canada.
