In 1941 this vessel was seized by the Custodian of Enemy Property (Frank Shears), Ottawa ON Canada.

In 1942 her ownership was transferred to His Majesty the King (Japanese Fishboat Disposal Committee). This vessel was largely used to tow scows loaded with oysters to the plant in Delta, and to position empty scows over the oyster beds. At low tide the empty scows would land near the beds to which the workers would walk and harvest the oysters. Full scows were then floated back to the plant.
