This supply vessel (type iii) was built in 1943 by Newcastle Ship Building Co. Ltd. in Nanaimo, BC.
After the Second World War this vessel was laid up in the boneyard at Bedwell Bay BC Canada.
In 1943-1945 she was acquired by the Royal Canadian Air Force for service with the Western Air Command Marine Squadron based at Vancouver BC Canada.
