On February 28, 1976 this gillnetter foundered at night in a snow storm in the Juan de Fuca Strait s few miles south of Cape Beale. Harold Wulff and Trent Hansen abandoned ship in a small skiff. After a long search they were located by a Labrador helicopter and rescued by the CGCC Ready.
