Historical Notes
George Schneider (Oct 2026) writes: This vessel was built as an LCM-8 for the US Navy.
She endured a mid-life overhaul in 1978 by Southwest Marine, Chula Vista CA. The Navy sold her in 1998. Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 29/11/2022) stated "Handling the dock's caisson was the tug HERO (1091191), a rebuilt 74' LCM (74CM200736) operated by Independent Piloting Services of Benicia."

In 2000-2006 she was owned by Don Cloes, Concord CA USA.
In 2008-2026 she was owned by C & W Diving Services Inc., San Diego CA USA.

Converted to a pusher tug ca2000.
