Story

This passenger was built in 1983 by Chesapeake Shipbuilding Co. in Salisbury, MD.

Historical Notes

George Schneider (Oct 2026) writes: This overnight passenger boat was last operated for Mountain and Sea Educational Adventures (MSA) for their Floating Sea Camp and specialized holiday harbor excursions out of San Pedro. An educated guess says the business could not afford to re-engine the vessel to comply with California's emission standards, because she was laid up in 2024.

She went up for auction in October 2026.

Owners & Masters

In 1983-1988 she was owned by New England Steamboat Lines (affiliated with Chesapeake Shipbuilding Co.) Haddam CT USA.

In 1988-2006 she was owned by Niagara Clipper Inc (Buffalo Charters), Buffalo NY USA.

In 2006-2016 she was owned by Expoships LLLP, Miami FL USA.

In 2017-2023 she was owned by Enhydra LLC, Los Angeles CA USA.

Rebuilds

By 2017 her measurement tonnage had been increased from 71 to 89, possibly indicating additions to her deckhouse.
