Geschichte

This ferry, passenger/car was built in 1947 by Maryland Shipbuilding & Drydock Co. in Baltimore, MD.

Historische Notizen

This vessel was towed by the tug Wando from Baltimore to Puget Sound. On February 26, 2013, this vessel was sold for $275,000 to Island Scallops, who operates scallop farms on Vancouver Island near Qualicum Beach, British Columbia and is a subsidiary of Atlantic Capes Fisheries. Island Scallops plans to use the ferry as a support vessel based in Fanny Bay, BC and will remove her engines. George Schneider (Aug 2026) writes: Her U. S. documents were deactivated in 2012 but she was never re-registered in Canada, so although she's remained anchored and unmaintained in Fanny Bay BC for years, she's still considered a U. S. vessel.
