Story

This work boat was built in 1953 by Long Beach Marine Repair.

Historical Notes

George Schneider (Aug 2026) writes: This was originally a standard Navy 50-foot Utility Boat, used primarily to ferry large numbers of crew from bigger ships to shore. The design was soon replaced with a very similar fiberglass design. This vessel's last documents expired in 2002 but could easily have continued working under state license.
