Historical Notes

Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 01/12/2023) wrote "Apart from a couple of fairly typical west coast charter sportfishers, local harbor patrol boats, and distant views of the Hornblower fleet, the first real vessel of interest I encountered was a charter sportfisher of a little more atypical variety, the MS MARIN (977025). The design itself retains enough originality to peg her as an ex-Navy 33' PE, and the owners have kindly left the ID molded into the transom, C1396. That bit pegs her as a craft built by WR Chance and Associates circa 1962, though her MVUS data seems to say 1966."
