Historische Notizen
George Schneider (May 2026) writes: There are unsubstantiated hints in second-line documents that say this vessel was built by the Bushey shipyard in Brooklyn NY and shipped overland to be completed at St. Helen's OR. This isn't likely to be true.
She was apparently an unsuccessful design, and in 1934 she was replaced by the USLHT Rhododendron.
She was then loaned to the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (Oregon Div). Upon her return she was sold. On 6 Feb 1972 she grounded near Lincoln Rock Light and flooded. Once floated off, she was towed to deep water and allowed to sink.
