Story

This amphibious passenger vessel was built in 2004 by Cool American Manufacturers International (CAMI) in South Lima, NY.

Historical Notes

George Schneider (May 2026) writes: This is one of a series of the builder's AquaTerra amphibious tour bus/boats. These were marketed as safer alternatives to fulfill the appeal of the wartime surplus "Ducks" (actually DUKW's) that were never intended for the tourist trade. Unlike the originals, these have a completely foam-filled "boat" on top of a truck chassis which provides ballast.

Owners & Masters

In 2004-2012 she was owned by Albany Aqua Ducks, Albany NY USA.

She was apparently idle until 2018-2026 when she was activated by Buggy Bus Inc. (affiliated with Old Town Trolley Tours) San Diego CA. USA
