This vessel was christened by Ginny Ueberroth (the wife of the Los Angeles Olympic Organising Committee president, Mr. Peter Ueberroth).
In 1986 this vessel made nine calls to Prince Rupert BC, but the port was dropped in favour of Skagway.
In 1984 she was operated by the Sitmar Line.
In 1986 she was owned by P & O Line.
