This fishboat, (tuna) was built in 1991 by San Diego Shipbuilding Co. in Chula Vista, CA.

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 12/12/2025) stated "In "tuna harbor" (the G-Street mole) was a familiar vessel.
She was the locally-built tuna jig boat JANTHINA (978287, IMO 8856742) which I've covered twice before. A decade or more ago she had her original white hull and was the only vessel I'd ever known to be homeported in Solana Beach CA. Then a few years ago I reported on her in Honolulu under new owners and with a yellow hull. This blue paint job seems to suit a fishing boat better than the yellow."
