Jura (II)

The MMBC stated "Jura was commissioned using a design from Douglas Peterson that was published in the July 1976 edition of Wooden Boat Magazine. The design was modified by Peterson to meet the specific desires of the owners. Built by Bent Jesperson in Sidney, BC, her hull is constructed with red cedar planks over oak frames, all coated in epoxy. The outside of the hull is gives the impression that she is either fibreglass or cold-molded, but this is just the effect of the cedar being wrapped in epoxy. The cabin and cockpit coamings are mahogany, and the deck teak.
