Biografie
He was a Russian naval officer, entering the Imperial naval cadet school c1809.
He married Iulia Ivanova and together they crossed Siberia and arrived at Sitka 10/1835.
They had four children in Sitka while they served there.
He came first to Alaska in the frigate Kreiser in 1823.
He was the 7th Chief Manager of the Russian-American Company 29/08/1835 - 1840.
They returned to Russia in 1840.
He commanded frigates in the Baltic.
He was appointed as Vice-Admiral in 1852.
