Woolfrey, Glenn

He served in the Navy League Cadet Corps Apollo in 1971 and was subsequently a member of RCSCCs Haida and Vanguard prior to his naval service. In his civilian life, Cdr Woolfrey is the Executive Vice President Corporate Operations for WINMAR (Canada) International Inc in London, ON.

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman Signalman (NR) 1978.

He remustered to Reserve Clearance Diver (Port Inspection Diver).

He was appointed as Chief Petty Officer (1st Class) (NR) 1996.

In 1996 he served as Naval Reserve Diving MOS Advisor.

He served in HMCS York as Coxswain 1999. In July 2004 he was appointed as the Naval Reserve Formation Chief Petty Officer.

In 2005 he attended the Canadian Forces College in Toronto for the Executive Leadership Course. (CFR).

He was appointed as a Lieutenant (N) (NR) (With seniority dated 01/05/2007). In August 2007 he completed the NCAGS and Basic Intelligence Officers’ Course.

In 2008 he served in HMCS Star as Head of Department for the Operations and later Logistics Departments.

In 2009 he completed the Basic Maritime Warfare Course.

He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR).

He served in HMCS Star as Executive Officer 2010.

He was appointed as a Commander (NR) 2012.

In 2012 he served in HMCS Star as Commanding Officer.

In 2016 he was appointed as Senior Staff Officer of Diving.

In 2018 he was appointed as Senior Occupational Advisor for the Intelligence Branch.

In 2021 he was appointed as Naval Reserve Special Advisor – Force Development.

He was instrumental in the development of the Regional Dive Centres across the Naval Reserve and served as the National advisor on Naval Reserve issues with the CF Diving Council.
