He was a fisherman on the Columbia River.
He was the Master of the Montserrat, lost in a gale in the entrance to the Strait of Juan de Fuca in 12/1893. Part of the wreckage was found by the Maude S. at Rose inlet in the Queen Charlotte Islands in 05/1895.
