He was qualified as a lawyer.
He was a Prosecutor for the Department of Justice with the Federal Government, where he continued his career in Toronto He was a Crown Counsel in Ottawa ON and then in NB, then in private practice in NB. After a short retirement, Gerry began to work with Lutz Longstaff in Hampton before formally retiring.
