Biographie

He attended McGill University before his recruitment into the navy.

Service militaire

He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With senioroty date 21/03/1941).

In 1941 he served in the Montreal Division of the RCNVR. n 1942 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment).

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/09/1942). (He was killed in action in the Dieppe Raid.)

Anecdotes

He commanded a landing barge in the operation at Dieppe France. His barge was hit by enemy gunfire and exploded, killing him.
