Anecdotes

Bill Clearihue (Email to Nauticapedia 22/11/2025) stated "He was a victim of the large closures of NRDs, including HMCS Prevost, and remote UNTD tenders in October 1964. At that time any Cadets who had completed 2nd year UNTD (he had completed 3rd year), were promoted to SLT directly on to the Retired List, unless they managed to transfer to a non-closing NRD. Some did, notably to HMCS Star, but he did not."
